Georgia Reports 888 New COVID Cases, 10 Deaths
In the past day, Georgia has reported 888 new coronavirus cases. Unfortunately, ten people have died from the virus. On a more positive note, 2831 people have recovered.
Since February 2020, there have been 1,639,678 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Georgia. Thankfully, most people have recovered, with 1,594,011 getting better and only 16,612 losing their lives to the virus.
The newly reported cases are spread across different regions of the country. Here’s a breakdown:
* Tbilisi: 434 cases
* Adjara: 32 cases
* Imereti: 111 cases
* Kvemo Kartli: 29 cases
* Shida Kartli: 50 cases
* Guria: 42 cases
* Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti: 53 cases
* Kakheti: 88 cases
* Mtskheta-Mtianeti: 25 cases
* Samtskhe-Javakheti: 10 cases
* Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti: 14 cases
There are also many people in Georgia who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. A total of 2,838,287 people have received both doses of the vaccine.
On March 16, there were 1099 new coronavirus cases reported in Georgia, with 800 patients recovering and 10 deaths.
