Georgians Can Work in German Agriculture for 3 Months

The German Ambassador to Georgia, Hubert Knirsch, met with the Minister of Health today. He said that Georgian citizens can work in Germany’s agriculture sector for a maximum of 90 days.

Starting April 1, Georgians can legally work in Germany for three months. The number of workers is not limited, but they will only be working in agriculture. This project will help people from Georgia find temporary jobs in Germany.

Ambassador Knirsch said that this is not an immigration project, but a seasonal job in the agricultural sector. He believes that Georgians have the knowledge to contribute to German agriculture and that many will apply for these jobs.

Registration for the program starts on February 15th and continues throughout the year. Job seekers must first register on the special portal at http://workabroad.gov.ge/. This project is a chance for Georgians to work in Germany’s agriculture sector for three months.
