Georgian Dream MPs in Parliament are now discussing the Foreign Agents’ Law (Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence), in third reading, as crowds continue a night-long protest outside the building.
MPs who spoke to journalists said that the law WOULD be passed regardless of protests. Opposition MPs claim they are still denied the right to express themselves or ask questions in Parliament.
Water cannons and hundreds of special police officers have been deployed to block the area surrounding Parliament.
The rally is peaceful despite some clashes that occurred between police and protesters.
