**Prime Minister Kobakhidze Meets World Leaders in Dubai**
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has attended the World Government Summit in Dubai. He spoke at the event about Georgia’s economic development and its potential to connect Europe, Asia, and other regions.
Kobakhidze said that Georgia is a key hub for international trade routes and can serve as a bridge between different parts of the world. He highlighted the country’s effective governance and prudent policies, which have led to remarkable economic growth.
The Prime Minister also met with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, to discuss cooperation between the two nations. They talked about deepening trade and economic relations, particularly in sectors like tourism, real estate, and energy.
**Georgia’s Economic Growth**
Kobakhidze boasted about Georgia’s economic growth, citing a 9.7% average growth rate from 2021 to 2023 and a projected 9.5% growth in 2024. He attributed this success to effective governance and forward-looking policies.
The Prime Minister also mentioned the recently signed memorandum with EMAAR, a Dubai-based real estate company, which plans to invest $6 billion in Georgia. This is seen as an example of successful partnership between the UAE and Georgia.
**Meetings and Discussions**
During his visit, Kobakhidze met with his Kuwaiti counterpart and discussed ways to enhance trade and economic relations. They recognized Georgia’s favorable business climate and potential for increased investment from Kuwait.
The World Government Summit brings together over 6,000 participants to discuss innovative solutions to global challenges. The event focuses on building the governments of the future and features six key thematic areas, including effective governance and accountability, climate change, and global health transformation.
