Lasha Bekauri, a Georgian judoka (-90 kg), won a gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics. She is now a two-time Olympic Champion. Bekauri beat Japanese Murao Snshiro in final. Bekauri won Georgia‘s first gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
In the semi-finals, Lasha Bekauri, champion of the Tokyo Olympic Games defeated Tristan Moshlashvili who was representing Spain.
Georgia also won a silver medal in the Paris Olympics on July 30, which was won by judoka Tato Grigalialashvili (-81kg).
On August 1, Ilia Sulamanidze (-100), another Georgian judoka, wrestles.
