**Protests and Clashes in Georgia**
In recent months, there have been protests and clashes between police and protesters in Georgia. Thousands of people took to the streets on May 11 to oppose a bill that could limit freedom of speech and increase Russian influence in the country.
On November 29, violent clashes erupted as police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse thousands of protesters who were opposing the government’s decision to halt EU accession negotiations. Many people were injured and arrested during the clashes.
