Georgian Tennis Federation announced that Georgian tennis player Mariam Bolkvadze was in the semifinals of the W60 Nur -Sultan 2020 tournament, which is taking place in Kazakhstan from 12 to 18 July.
Bolkvadze faced the Belarusian tennisplayer in the quarterfinals after Uzbek tennis players and Kazakh tennis player competed in the first and the second rounds. Mariam Bolkvadze was victorious in the first set with a score of 6-2. In the second set after a score of 2-0, the Belarusian player was eliminated and Bolkvadze earned the right to compete at the semifinal.
Georgian tennis player also competes at doubles competition. Her partner is Swedish JACQUELINE Cabaj Awad. The Georgian-Swedish duo will compete against the Belarusian and Russian pair in the quarterfinal match.
