Georgia’s External Trade Increases by 8%
The National Statistics Service of Georgia (Geostat) has released data showing that the country’s external merchandise trade increased by 8% in 2024 compared to the previous year. The total value of trade reached USD 23.429 billion.
According to Geostat, Georgia’s exports grew by 7.8% year-on-year, reaching a value of USD 6.56 billion. Imports also saw an increase, growing by 8.1% to reach USD 16.86 billion. The trade deficit, which is the difference between imports and exports, was USD 10.30 billion and accounted for 44% of the total trade turnover.
