The National Statistics Service of Georgia published data on October 15 that showed the external merchandise trade of Georgia (excluding non-declared goods) increased by 3.7% between January-September 2024, compared to the same period of the previous calendar year. This amounted to USD 16,779.0 millions.
Geostat reports that Georgia’s external trade in merchandise saw exports increase by 4.1%, reaching USD 4.787 Billion, while imports grew by 3.6%, totaling USD 11.992 Billion. The trade deficit was USD 7,206 billion, or 42.9% of total trade turnover.
