Georgia’s GDP up by 11% in Q3 24

The economy of Georgia grew by 11% in the third quarter of this year. This was reported by Geostat, the country’s statistics office.

According Geostat, the led the growth with a 30.9% increase. Other industries that saw significant growth include (32.8%), education (.6%), financial and insurance activities (22.9%), and public and defence (14.7%).

However, some industries did not do as well. The industry shrank by 4.9%, while the electricity and gas supply sector declined by 13.6%.

The growth in Georgia’s economy is worth around GEL 24.856 billion (USD 8.846 billion). This is according to Geostat’s preliminary data, which was released on 19.

Geostat will release revised figures on November 15, 2025.
