During his speech at the 79th of the General Assembly, Prime of Irakli Kobakhidze highlighted the strategic location of Georgia as natural bridge between Europe and Asia. He emphasized that this positioning allows Georgia to provide the shortest route between East and .

Kobakhidze also mentioned that Georgia’s port infrastructure plays a crucial role connecting 7 landlocked countries in the South Caucasus and with the rest of the world. He stated that Georgia’s strong relations with China and Central Asian countries make it a leading player in the regional and wider Eurasian context.

The Prime Minister further explained that Georgia is not only a center for the exchange of products, but also a transit center for electricity and other goods. He highlighted the upcoming construction of the Anaklia deepwater port, which will further develop the country’s infrastructure.

Kobakhidze emphasized that Georgia’s location on the political map makes it the safest and most reliable transit route for timely and efficient of products and services. He also stated that Georgia’s focus on maintaining and expanding its role as a reliable transit corridor allows it to support its strategic in responding to energy security needs in Europe.

The Prime Minister concluded by stating that by diversifying supply routes and investing in durable infrastructure, Georgia can increase the predictability of East-West connectivity, especially within the framework of the Middle Corridor initiative.
