**Unified Software Platform for Ukraine‘s Drone Fleet**
Ukraine has a lot of drones, but managing them can be complicated. There are over 200 different models in use by the military.
A new partnership between Germany and the US aims to fix this problem. Rheinmetall, Germany’s biggest defense contractor, is working with Auterion, an American software company, to create a single system for controlling all these drones.
**Simplifying Drone Warfare**
The Russo-Ukrainian war has shown how important drones can be in modern warfare. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to increase the country’s defense production, including making at least 30,000 long-range drones.
The new software platform will let different types of drones from various manufacturers talk to each other and work together seamlessly. This should make it easier for Ukraine’s military to use its drone fleet effectively.
