Liga reports that German Olaf Scholz, on 11 October, announced that Germany, together with Belgium, Denmark and Norway, would provide with a military aid package valued at EUR1.4 billion before the end of 2024.
Germany is Ukraine’s second largest military supporter, after the United States. It has provided a wide range of assistance, such as advanced weaponry, like tanks, , , or artillery. Earlier discussions about future budgets aid raised concerns over whether Germany would continue to provide this level of assistance beyond 2024.
Scholz, during a press conference held with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, detailed the contents of this package, which included IRIS-T air defense systems and Skynex, Gepard -propelled anti-aircraft guns, guided howitzers and armored vehicles.
