**Germany Commits to Ukraine Aid**
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited Kyiv on December 2. He announced a big military aid package for Ukraine.
The package is worth €650 million ($680 mn). This money will be used to help Ukraine’s defense efforts. The equipment needed to keep people safe, like air defense systems and tanks, will be delivered by the end of 2024.

* Leopard 1 tanks
* Combat drones
* Winter equipment (like warm clothes)
* Hand weapons

**Supporting Ukraine**
Chancellor Scholz said that Germany will support Ukraine as much as possible. He praised Ukraine for defending itself against Russia‘s aggression.
