Gia Khukhashvili, an expert, said that Salome Zurabishvili could save the model if she ran for the position as prime .

According to Khukhashvili however, the president later changed her position.
“I had a discussion with Salome Zurabishvili. It is difficult to comprehend why this burden should not be carried. I told her this issue would be easily resolved, and that the was to raise her concern. In this situation, the parties will have no room for maneuver and all issues will be agreed. It was risky to bring in an alternative. After speaking with her, I was optimistic because she did not state categorically that she would not be discussing this issue. Later, when the voice reached Khukhashvili, I understood why and how she had not agreed to this.
