Gia Volski, First Vice-Speaker, Parliament, said that facts of treason could be filed after the elections, which would indicate that there might be a collective crime. She was commenting to the media on the interview with the honorary chairman of “Georgian Dream”, Bidzina.
Volski says that Gakharia also committed the most insidious of acts and that the questions of why, what, how, and what the connection is between him and “National Movement“, should be answered.
Volski said that “the National Movement is the head of everything”.
“The person who claims that Giorgi Gakharia didn’t want to overthrow government with his actions, and did not support “national movement”, does not have analytical ability. What Giorgi Gakharia was doing and what he did before his resignation tells a story of a person who betrays the country, not a team. Gakharia was the one who announced suddenly that he shouldn’t touch the leader of “National Movement”. He also knew that Mikheil Sakashvili would come to Georgia to organize a revolution on different levels. This is so obvious, there are no different opinions!
These people (members from Gakharia’s group) stand around Giorgi Gakharia who is the one responsible for the steps taken against the state. These people did not betray the party but rather, they were complicit in the crime.
The investigation should ask people who have been working against the country and are now trying to organize a revolt, if they will answer the questions.
Gia Volski stated that the court will be the final forum for discussion, not any specific entity, even if the ruling was “Georgian Dream”.
Volski responded that Gakharia’s actions could cause the country irreparable harm.
“When it comes Gakharia, truth is told because Gakharia’s low rating is well known. Truth is told to show the public the danger of people who are active on the political scene.
Gia Volski added, “Gakharia did something that deserves much harsher evaluation than “National Movement”, who have been doing this continuously since 2024.”
