Georgian Politician Warns Against Divided Celebration of Independence Day
Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the party “Gakharia for Georgia“, has written a message on social media. He wants people to be careful not to let power struggles ruin the celebration of Georgia’s independence day.
March 31 is a significant date in Georgian history. It marks the 34th anniversary of the referendum that restored state independence. According to Gakharia, this day should be celebrated together by all Georgians, regardless of their political views.
However, he notes that the country’s “enemy” has managed to divide people and turn them against each other. He urges everyone to put aside their differences and stand together to defend Georgia’s independence and freedom.
Gakharia is calling on people not to sacrifice the country’s most important achievement for personal gain. Instead, they should work together to protect the progress made so far.
