Giorgi Gakharia, the Prime Minister of Georgia, has written to Pia Kauma, a Finnish MP. In his letter, he asked her to think again about visiting Tbilisi.
Gakharia is worried that if Kauma visits now, it could be used by the government for propaganda purposes. He thinks this might not be good for the country or for Kauma herself.
The person leading Georgia’s government is Bidzina Ivanishvili. Gakharia does not trust him to behave properly. This is why he wants Kauma to reconsider her visit.
