**Giorgi Gakharia Attacked in Batumi**
The leader of the “Gakharia – for Georgia” party, Giorgi Gakharia, was attacked in Batumi. The attack happened at the Sheraton Hotel.
According to reports, Gakharia has been taken to a clinic after the incident.
Natia Mezvrishvili, a member of the same party as Gakharia, took to social media to express her outrage and demand action from the authorities. She blamed the “Georgian Dream” party for the attack and promised that the perpetrators would be held accountable.
**Mezvrishvili’s Statement**
Natia Mezvrishvili wrote on social media: “I will question everyone, you have no idea how big a mistake you made, ‘Georgian Dream’. There will be no leniency, I promise! The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, within 24 hours, will arrest all the attackers, and I will question you too!”
Mezvrishvili also directly targeted Bidzina Ivanishvili, a leader of the “Georgian Dream” party. She said that Ivanishvili had made a huge mistake by ordering the attack.
**Evidence Destroyed?**
Natia Mezvrishvili is worried that evidence at the scene of the incident may be being destroyed. She appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate.
“If I find even one piece of evidence destroyed, it will be bad,” Mezvrishvili wrote. “Cameras, fingerprints, etc.! I’m calling the Adjara Regional Prosecutor. The Sheraton security has already been hidden. They’ve started destroying evidence.”
