According to Giorgi Gakharia the leader of “Gakharia for Georgia“, the candidacy of Salome Zurabishvili for Prime Minister is one the best options which must be considered.
Giorgi Gakharia, in “PalitraNews‘” program “Resume”, said that the biggest challenge facing Georgia today is to open negotiations with European Union. The current president is best suited to achieve this goal.
“Our main line of politics is to create a government which will not be controlled either by “Georgian Dream”, or “National Movement“, who’s main mandate will be in the next years to open negotiations with European Union. Salome Zurabishvili is, of course, the best candidate to accomplish such a task. This process, starting with the charter and patronage it provides to protect Georgia’s European perspective, as well as the resources it has accumulated over the past few years, can be used regardless,” said Gakharia.
Gakharia responded that Salome Zurabishvili being prime minister is one of the best options. “This issue wasn’t discussed. Salome Zurabishvili, as you know is the president. We have always respected Presidents and their institutions. It is not so easy, her will has to be taken into consideration. I don’t think he would want it, but this idea was never discussed in the opposition. My political team believes that this is the best and most workable option. The biggest challenge facing Georgia today is to open negotiations with Europe in exactly half a year. The main thing is to open negotiations with the European Union exactly in half a year. “We should all admit that this president is the best person to achieve this goal,” Giorgi Gakharia said.
