Giorgi Gakharia Speaks Out Against “Georgian Dream”
The leader of the opposition party “For Georgia,” Giorgi Gakharia, addressed a crowd on Rustaveli Avenue. He criticized the ruling party “Georgian Dream” for their actions.
Gakharia said that “Georgian Dream” should release people who were detained and beaten unfairly. They also need to call for new elections. This is the only way they can start fresh and earn the respect of Georgians, he argued.
The true Georgian spirit is shown in how citizens respond to injustice, Gakharia stated. He noted that “Georgian Dream” made people dance the traditional Khorumi on Rustaveli Avenue, but now they must take concrete steps to show their commitment to the country‘s values.
