**Violence on the Streets of Tbilisi: A Growing Concern**
For five nights, people in Tbilisi have been attacked by masked individuals who seem to be operating with impunity. These attacks have been extremely brutal, targeting young people and women.
According to Giorgi Gakharia, a member of the government, there is a reasonable suspicion that some of these attackers are not police officers but members of informal groups. He believes that the use of masks makes them more cruel and that they seem to be guaranteed immunity from prosecution.
**A Call for Action**
Gakharia has called on Bidzina Ivanishvili, a prominent politician, to take immediate action to stop the violence on the streets of Tbilisi. He also urged the Ministry of Health to release information about the number and location of people affected by these attacks over the last five nights.
**Concerns About Police Response**
Gakharia expressed concerns that the police are not doing enough to protect citizens, particularly at night. He believes that if the police do not have the moral and legal ability to protect order on the streets, it will lead to complete chaos.
**A Critique of Irakli Kobakhidze**
In a separate statement, Gakharia criticized Irakli Kobakhidze, another politician, calling him “abnormal”. When asked if he was ready for a public discussion with Kobakhidze, Gakharia replied that Kobakhidze should see a doctor first.
