Giorgi Kalandarishvili is the Chairman of CEC. He said that today was the first time we used electronic voting machines on such a massive scale.
According to Kalandarishvili the elections were held in a free and peaceful environment.
“Today we used electronic voting machines on a large-scale for the first time. At the end of the day, we can confidently state that the elections took place. This phase of modernization of elections was successfully implemented.
The elections were held in a peaceful, free environment. We responded immediately to several issues that were brought to our attention, but this did not affect the process or the results of the elections.
“The fact that there were no errors in the process and that the voter turnout was high confirms that the election administration conducted the elections according to international standards”, Kalandarishvili stated.
