Journalists Attacked in Georgia
A journalist and cameraman from “TV Pirveli” were attacked recently. Former Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili is speaking out against this kind of violence.
Kvirikashvili says that if the attackers are not punished, it will lead to a country where crime is in charge. He believes that physical attacks on journalists, especially when they’re severe, show that either the government is weak or that there’s a criminal regime in power. This allows crime to take over again and again.
Kvirikashvili is worried about what will happen if the attackers are not punished. He thinks that it could lead to Georgia becoming a completely different country. He urges people not to let this happen.
