Georgian President‘s Criticism of Politicians and Lawyers
The fourth President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili, has spoken out against politicians who put too much trust in lawyers. He believes that this can lead to confusion and misunderstandings.
Margvelashvili made these comments while responding to criticisms from opposition politicians about not entering the parliament and canceling their lists. He said that because of the different ways in which this decision was expressed, the importance of it was lost.
A Simple Message
The President suggested that a direct statement would have been more effective. The National Movement party took this approach and made a clear statement. This way, people could easily understand what they were saying.
Lawyers Can Be a Problem
Margvelashvili believes that lawyers can sometimes get in the way of making decisions. He pointed out that four political parties had different conclusions about not entering parliament. Their actions followed these conclusions, but it created confusion among the public.
A Clear Message Against “Georgian Dream”
The President also spoke out against the “Georgian Dream” party. He said that they are planning to eliminate the opposition and that it is absurd for any party to enter parliament under these circumstances. The opposition parties fear that if they enter, they will be targeted by the ruling party.
