Giorgi Margvelashvili Predicts Mass Protest Peak
Opposition leader Giorgi Margvelashvili believes a mass protest will reach its peak at the first meeting of parliament. He made this statement in an interview on the “360 Degrees” program.
Margvelashvili said that continuous protests have prepared society for optimism. He added that while the opposition is confident, it’s essential not to create false expectations about their success.
The opposition has held successful demonstrations in Tbilisi. Margvelashvili praised these actions, stating they helped overcome nihilism and disappointment among citizens.
Regarding the issue of closing parliamentary mandates and lists, Margvelashvili said that while the four parties that crossed the barrier sent a clear message, it wasn’t impressive to voters. He stated that not entering parliament is a serious step for politicians.
The first meeting of parliament will be crucial in determining the outcome of the mass protests.
