Giorgi Margvelashvili – the fourth President of Georgia and one of the leaders in the “Strong Georgia coalition” – announced this at a Batumi event as part of pre-election campaign.
According to the fourth President of Georgia, “Strong Georgia”, a force has been formed that Georgian voters wanted, a power that is “not burdened by the previous Government, nor by the Problems of the Previous Government”. “I never got angry about this topic. I entered politics in the year 2003 and we changed government. In 2012, I went back to politics and changed the government. Such things don’t bother me if I enter politics. With the power we have in our nation, we will not take it from you, but give it to you. Today I am adamant about this because what the Georgians wanted today actually happened. Bidzina ivanishvili’s principled opposition to what happened actually did happen. A force has been formed that is not burdened by the problems or the previous government. This force is called “Strong Georgia!” Margvelashvili stated.
According to him, “Georgian Dream”, if there are more than 2,000,000 voters at the elections on October 26th, will have to give up their government.
“On October 26 we will remove the citizens who are going to vote in the polling station, and once the threshold of two million voters is reached, the government will be handed over. They will not surrender to the authorities. I tell you that this is the clear will of the Georgians and the citizens of Georgia. They will give (power) up very easily, and very peacefully. “Those who want peace, stability and security should vote on October 26th and color the number nine!” Margvelashvili stated.
