On the 31st anniversary of the fall of Sokhumi, the leaders of “Unity – National Movement” paid tribute to the fallen heroes by decorating their memorial with flowers at Heroes’ Square. According to Giorgi Vashadze, the restoration of Georgia’s territorial integrity will happen alongside its accession to the European Union.
Vashadze emphasized the importance of dignity, unity, and development for Georgia, stating that the process of territorial restoration is within reach. He also highlighted the trust that people living beyond the occupation line have in the EU passport.
He expressed confidence that the shame brought upon by the current government will be washed away in just one month. Vashadze criticized the Prime Minister for his recent statements, where he blamed Georgia for starting the war and apologized to the enemy, calling it shameful. He promised that on October 26, when the “dream” party is defeated, they will give a strong response to these actions.
Vashadze reiterated that the restoration of territorial integrity can only be achieved through joining the European Union and focusing on development, rather than isolation, which is the approach of the current government. He urged the people to vote for change and a brighter future for Georgia.
