Giorgi Vashadze, a politician from the opposition party, has a message for Bidzina Ivanishvili, a powerful man in Georgia. Vashadze says that Ivanishvili promised peace but brought chaos to the country instead.
Vashadze wants Ivanishvili to think carefully about his actions. He believes that releasing political prisoners and holding new elections are the only ways to calm down the situation in the country. “We will establish our firm position, and we will not consider any other option than new elections,” Vashadze said.
The opposition party is having a meeting to discuss these issues. They want to talk about new elections, sanctions, and the conclusions of a report from an international organization called OSCE/ODIHR. A representative from President Salome Zourabichvili‘s office will also be present at the meeting.
Vashadze mentioned that the situation in the country is different now. He said that the ruling party, “Georgian Dream“, needs to think about their position. The opposition is trying to make a firm stand on new elections and other important issues.
