Protest Continues in Georgia
The leader of the “Strategy Agmashenebeli” party, Giorgi Vashadze, said that every day should be a protest day until Ivanishvili is gone. This was said during an interview with “InterpressNews” after a protest march.
Vashadze thinks the protest is getting stronger. Many people joined the march, which is very important, he said. The road was closed and police acted strangely during the protest. Several people were arrested, but that didn’t stop the protesters.
According to Vashadze, the opposition members who were detained are targets of the “Georgian Dream” party. They think by stopping politicians, they can calm down the people. But they’re wrong, said Vashadze. Every person at the protest is a leader and makes their own decisions. The protesters won’t stop fighting until Ivanishvili is gone.
