Giorgi Vashadze, a leader of the “Unity National Movement“, is asking the police to return equipment that belongs to protesters. This equipment was taken from the protesters without their permission.
Vashadze made this request during a rally on Chavchavadze avenue. He also asked the police not to use force against peaceful protesters. The police took the equipment and the trucks it was in, Vashadze said. They were told that the equipment is now at the Department of Special Tasks‘ base.
Vashadze wants the equipment back. He says this is another example of the police acting illegally. He urged them not to use force against peaceful protesters.
The world is watching what happens in Georgia right now, Vashadze said. People should be brave and persevere, he added. It’s up to Georgians themselves to solve their problems first, then they can ask for help from others.
Vashadze also warned people about fake news pages on social media. He advised them to only trust information that comes from official party sources or live broadcasts by the media.
