Former MP Refuses to Testify
A former Member of Parliament, Giorgi Gabashvili, has said he will not appear before a parliamentary commission. The commission is looking at the activities of government officials from 2003-2012.
Gabashvili received an official summons to attend a meeting on March 29. He was asked to talk about Georgia’s war with Russia in 2008. However, Gabashvili has refused to go and give evidence.
In a statement, he said: “Everyone already knows who is in charge of their circus.” He also accused the commission of being made up of people who were once against Georgia.
