**Serbia Asks US to Delay Sanctions on Oil Company**
The Serbian Government has asked the United States administration to delay sanctions on Serbia’s oil company, NIS. This is because Russia owns a big part of NIS.
The US had already delayed these sanctions for one month. But this extra time is about to run out. It will end at midnight on Friday, March 28 (or Saturday, March 29 in the US).
Serbia’s energy minister, Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic, has been looking into this situation with a special group. They decided that Serbia should ask the US for more time before the sanctions start.
