**European MPs “Lead the Opposition”, Says Georgian MP**
Guram Macharashvili, a deputy in Georgia‘s parliament, has spoken out against European MPs who attended a protest rally on November 11. He claims that their presence was not about interfering with internal affairs, but rather leading the opposition.
According to Macharashvili, these foreign politicians knew that their own country would no longer elect them and were using material compensation to make anti-state statements. He also stated that their actions showed disrespect for Georgia’s future and a hostile attitude towards the Georgian people and the European community.
**Demanding Evidence**
Macharashvili questioned the European MPs about their involvement in an alleged investigation into the country’s situation. He asked where this investigation was taking place, who was leading it, and what evidence they had against the government. If no evidence existed, he wondered what they were trying to achieve.
**Leaders‘ Silence**
Macharashvili pointed out that the countries represented by these European MPs did more business with Russia than Georgia. He stated that before talking about fighting Russia, they should look at their own economic turnover and statements from their leaders stating that they would not engage in conflict under any circumstance.
