**German Foreign Minister Criticized for Double Standards**
Guram Macharashvili, a deputy from the “People’s Power,” has criticized German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. He said that she wants to punish people who insult her on social media, but thinks it’s okay to release someone who slapped a police officer.
This is not the first time Baerbock has been involved in controversies. Macharashvili claims that she has filed hundreds of complaints against German citizens for calling her names on social media. He says this shows a double standard and that the “deep state” is at work in Germany.
**Germany Demands Release of Georgian Journalist**
Meanwhile, Germany is demanding the release of Mzia Amaghlobeli, a journalist from Georgia who has been detained for over a month. The German Foreign Ministry said that Amaghlobeli’s detention is part of a campaign of intimidation by the “Georgian Dream” against journalists and opposition members.
The ministry called for Amaghlobeli’s immediate release and stood in support of those fighting for freedom.
