Guram Macharashvili, a deputy from the “People’s Power” movement in Georgia, has hit back at comments made by Republican Congressman Joe Wilson about the country. In a statement, Macharashvili said that it doesn’t matter what Wilson says, as Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, not Joe Wilson.
**Macharashvili Emphasizes Georgian Government‘s Stance**
According to Macharashvili, the Georgian government has never claimed that President Trump would spend 24 hours thinking about Georgia. However, he noted that Trump’s policies align with those of “Georgian Dream” by around 90%. This means that the policies implemented in Georgia will not change.
**Policy vs. Personalities**
Macharashvili emphasized that what matters is the policy implemented in the United States, not the personalities involved. He pointed out that Trump’s policy was about establishing peace in Ukraine and supporting family values, while Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s policy was to continue the war in Ukraine and promote transgender development in the US.
**Elon Musk Weighs In**
Macharashvili also highlighted a statement made by Elon Musk, a high-ranking figure and influential billionaire. Musk has called Zelenskyy a champion of money laundering, which Macharashvili said was an important point to consider.
