According to Nona Qurdovanidze‘s information, the chairwoman of Association of Young Lawyers of Georgia (GYLA), the Tetritskaro District Court has accepted the petition of GYLA.
Qurdovanidze posted on Facebook that “the only court approved the GYLA request to recall the votes, and what was essential for this case has been confirmed.”
The Tetritskaro Court is currently considering GYLA’s case on the issue of voting secrecy.
According to GYLA in the current process the judge, on the basis of GYLA’s request, randomly selected the votes of 3-3 districts of Tsalki district and Tetritskaro district, where it has been confirmed that there is traces of a marking on the back of ballots.
“The judge also asked for a vote-counting machine, a ballot and a frame envelope. During the court session a technical inspection took place, and it was found that the choice made by the voter on the back of the ballot is visible when placed in the machine.
