**Hamas Lists 34 Hostages to Release Under Ceasefire**
The Palestinian group Hamas has shared a list of 34 hostages it is willing to release in the first phase of a possible ceasefire agreement with Israel. A senior Hamas representative told the BBC that among those on the list are:
* 10 women
* 11 older men between 50 and 85 years old
* Children who were previously reported by Hamas as being killed in an Israeli air strike
Hamas claims that some of the hostages on the list are sick. The group’s health ministry has also accused Israel of killing over 100 people in Gaza at the weekend.
**Israel Denies Receiving Hostage List**
The Israeli prime minister‘s office has denied reports that Hamas provided it with a hostage list. Instead, Israel says it received the list from intermediaries who had already passed on the information to them as early as July 24.
**Hamas Demands Deal for Hostages’ Release**
A Hamas official speaking under condition of anonymity said that any agreement for Israel to withdraw from Gaza and a permanent ceasefire would be contingent on a deal to return Israeli hostages. The official also criticized Israel’s refusal to reach an agreement on the issues of withdrawal and ceasefire, saying it had made no progress.
**Israel Conducts Air Strikes**
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has announced that it carried out air strikes against more than 100 “terrorist sites” in Gaza, killing dozens of Hamas militants. A video released by Hamas features a 19-year-old Israeli captive, Liri Albag, urging her government to reach a deal.
