**Police to Investigate Protestors with Firearm-Like Objects**
The head of the patrol police, Vazha Siradze, has said that some people at a recent protest in front of parliament had objects similar to firearms. This was seen on footage from the event.
Siradze warned these individuals that they will be held responsible for their actions. “We all saw in the footage that certain persons had objects similar to firearms,” he said. “And we will certainly identify the perpetrators who are abusing the police and hold them accountable.”
**Police Injuries and Protestor Violence**
Siradze also spoke about citizens and police officers who were injured during the protest. He noted that some injuries occurred when police used proportional force to prevent law violations.
Several police officers had metal objects removed from their foreheads, Siradze said. Some police officers were also burned. “Unfortunately, when the police force suppresses the law violations accordingly, in the use of proportionate force, some citizen may have to suffer some kind of injury,” he said.
