Heavy Battles in Kursk Region Continue
Ukrainian forces are fighting to hold their ground against Russian attacks in the Kursk region. The situation has become more stable after Ukrainian troops withdrew from Sudzha, allowing them to strengthen their defenses.
Russian forces have been trying to push forward, but they have not had any deep incursions into Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian positions near Oleshnya and Guyevo are still under attack.
According to Yuriy Butusov, editor-in-chief of Censor.NET, the enemy has a significant advantage in numbers and firepower, but the Ukrainian defense is holding strong. The front line has shortened, allowing Ukrainian forces to operate more effectively with their own artillery and drones.
Russian Command’s Goal
The Russian command has given its soldiers a deadline to capture all Ukrainian territory in the Kursk region by March 31st. As a result, attacks are expected to intensify. Russian forces are regrouping to launch an offensive along the entire front in the Kursk region.
No Deep Incursions
So far, Russian forces have not made any deep incursions into Ukrainian territory. In the Sumy region, some small infantry groups advanced up to three kilometers into Ukraine but were quickly halted and attacked by Ukrainian forces.
Ukrainian Defense Improves
The Ukrainian command is conducting active maneuver defense. Troops are being supplied with ammunition, and the coordination of drone units is improving. The goal is to hold the critical operational line at the border.
City of Sumy Safe
The city of Sumy is not under immediate threat from a ground assault, as there are enough combat-ready Ukrainian troops in the area, inflicting heavy losses on Russian forces daily.
