The US Helsinki Commission says that we must continue to support Georgians in their efforts to protect their democracy and continue on their chosen path to Euro-Atlantic Integration.
“In May, to recognize the friendship between the United States of America and the Georgians, the Helsinki Commission presented the MEGOBARI Act. This bipartisan bill aims to strengthen democracy, human right and rule of law in Georgia.
The statement stated that while the draft law is awaiting the final vote of House of Representatives we must continue to support efforts of the Georgians to protect their democracy, and continue on their chosen pathway to Euro-Atlantic Integration.
