**Zelensky: Putin Doesn’t Love Russia or Its People**
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made some strong statements about Russian President Vladimir Putin. In an interview with a US podcaster, he said that Putin doesn’t love his country or its people.
According to Zelensky, Putin’s actions speak louder than words. He pointed out that Russia’s war against Ukraine has caused huge losses, with 780,000 soldiers killed or wounded. “He calls them all Russians,” Zelensky said, “even those who don’t know how to speak Russian and are on his territory.”
Zelensky also mentioned Putin’s past military actions in Chechnya, Syria, Georgia, and Africa. He asked a rhetorical question: “How did he kill them – with love?”
**Putin’s Wars of Aggression**
The Ukrainian president stressed that Russia is the aggressor, not Ukraine. He said that it was Putin who sent Russian soldiers to fight in Ukraine, rather than defending his own country from invaders.
Zelensky also highlighted the fact that many young Russians are being sent to fight and die in Ukraine’s war. “He’s sending 18-year-old boys,” he said, “to be killed.”
**Heavy Toll on Russia**
The Economist reported that Russia’s losses in Ukraine already surpass its total losses in all post-1945 wars combined.
