Hong Kong’s First Drone Show Attracts Crowd
On Saturday, hundreds of people gathered in Hong Kong to watch the city’s first pyrotechnics drone show. The event was part of a campaign to raise awareness and support for panda conservation.
The 10-minute drone show featured 1,000 drones flying over Victoria Harbour. Some drones displayed fireworks, while others formed images of giant pandas. A three-dimensional panda image slowly rotated in the sky during certain parts of the show.
Many spectators arrived early to get a good view of the spectacle. Eddie Chow, a father who brought his two kids, said that shows like this could attract more tourists to Hong Kong. He enjoyed watching the drones and fireworks combination.
Other spectators also praised the drone show as “great” and “amazing”. They were impressed by the design and technique used in creating the show.
Hong Kong has been hosting various panda-themed events recently, including exhibitions and a carnival. The city received two giant pandas from Beijing, taking the total number of pandas in Hong Kong to six. All six pandas live at Ocean Park, a theme park with rides and animal exhibits.
