A man arrested for allegedly damaging a memorial to those who died in the 7th October Hamas attack against Israel was released on bail.
Social media has circulated a video showing a man attacking a Jewish memorial in Palmeira Square, Hove, East Sussex.
A 58-year old man was arrested Monday on suspicion of racially aggravating criminal damage.
Sussex Police reported that he was released on bail, pending further investigations.
The force had previously stated that the incident was being investigated as a hate-crime.
Det Supt Ben Newman stated: “We understand this incident has caused much upset in many communities and we would like reassure the public that the investigation team is hard at work to gather all the information and bring this matter a positive resolution.”
