Huge Israeli Company to Implement Large Scale Plan in Georgia

Owners of Bikurei Sadeh – the leading logistics company in – visited Tbilisi. The company is interested to work with Georgia in order to import a large quantity of fruits and vegetables.
The company is currently studying Georgia’s agricultural potential and its owners met with the Agrarian Affairs Committee and the leadership of Friendship Group of the Israeli Knesset. The discussion at the meeting took place in the Georgian and covered future cooperation between in the area of trade.
According to , the director and founder Bikurei Sadeh – the largest fruit and vegetables importing company – there are plans to establish a Georgian department in Israel. This department will study the growing season and potential of Georgian agricultural crops.
A preparatory committee has already been formed. It includes Bikurei Sadeh, , and Agro G.I.
Gela Samkharauli is the of the Parliamentary Agrarian Affairs Committee. Givi Mikanadze is the head of the Friendship Group with the Israeli Knesset. They will support Georgian farmers and entrepreneurs to the maximum extent possible, so that their products can meet the needs of the Israeli market.
The visit to Georgia’s Parliament was preceded by an Israeli Knesset Friendship Group meeting with Georgia, attended by leaders of the Knesset Economics Group, the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, and the Georgia Parliament Friendship Group.
Itsik Mohe, the head of Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business at the meetings held in Parliament, stated that the import into Israel from was over 10 billion. After the suspension of , new markets will be sought. In the past year, 225,000 tons (or 20 percent) of fruits and vegetables were imported into Israel from Jordan.
