**Businessman Rukhadze Criticizes Georgian Dream**
Irakli Rukhadze, a wealthy businessman in Georgia, has given an interview on his channel. He discussed the narrative of Georgian Dream, saying that their actions are “madness” if people don’t believe that they were asked to get involved in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Rukhadze recounted a meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, where he was told about the complicated situation. Rukhadze said that he told Kobakhidze that just because they listened to him didn’t mean everyone agreed with him. He also criticized Kobakhidze personally for making statements that were later denied.
**Rukhadze’s Comments on Presidential Candidate**
Rukhadze commented on Georgian Dream’s choice of Mikheil Kavelashvili as a presidential candidate, saying that a more unifying person could have been chosen, which would have worked constructively with the West.
**Business Background**
Irakli Rukhadze is a senior partner at Hunnewell Partners, a UK-registered company that manages several major assets in Georgia. He has been a long-term supporter of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the patron of Georgian Dream. Rukhadze is currently a US citizen.
**Sanctions and Controversy**
Rukhadze’s comments come as the U.S. and UK impose sanctions on the Georgian Dream leadership due to their violent crackdown on protests. A Labour representative in the UK House of Commons has called for an investigation into Hunnewell Partners, which owns Imedi TV, a propaganda arm of the GD government.
A director of Georgia Pride has also targeted Rukhadze, saying that he is willing to sacrifice people like his daughter, who is living in a gay marriage, just because it doesn’t fit with the Russian script.
