US Commander Says Russia Will Give Fighter Jets to North Korea
Russia will give old Soviet fighter jets to North Korea. This is in exchange for thousands of North Korean soldiers who are already fighting in Ukraine.
The US commander in the Pacific, Admiral Samuel Paparo, made this announcement. He said that 12,000 North Korean soldiers have gone to Russia. In return, Russia will send MiG-29 and Su–27 fighter jets to North Korea.
Russia had earlier sent thousands of North Korean soldiers to its Kursk Oblast region in Ukraine. These soldiers were used for support duties, allowing Russian forces to fight at the front lines.
The deal involves giving old but strong fighter jets to North Korea.
