Alexandra Panina, member of Inter-RAO’s management board, was quoted by the Russian media as saying that the Russian energy company Inter-RAO considers the possibility of importing power from Georgia and Azerbaijan in emergency situations.
“We asked two countries, Azerbaijan & Georgia, about the availability of emergency power during times of crisis. “We asked two countries – Azerbaijan and Georgia – about the possibility of delivery during emergency periods.
She claims that neither country responded.
Georgian officials have not yet made a statement on the issue.
