**Ukraine Reports 6 Dead, 34 Injured in Russian Attacks**
Russian attacks on Ukraine killed six people and injured 34 others over the past day. Regional authorities made this announcement on March 9.
**Drones Launched by Russia Foiled**
Ukrainian forces were able to down 73 out of 119 drones launched by Russia overnight, including Shahed-type attack drones. The Air Force reported that 37 drones disappeared from radar without causing any damage. These are usually decoys used by Russia to overwhelm Ukraine’s air defense.
**Casualties in Donetsk and Kherson Oblasts**
Two people were killed in the cities of Pokrovsk and Siversk in Donetsk Oblast, Governor Vadym Filashkin said. Another 23 people were injured in the region over the past day. A 41-year-old man was also killed in the Kivsharivka village in Kharkiv Oblast due to Russian shelling.
**Russian Forces Target Multiple Settlements**
In Kherson Oblast, Russian forces targeted 40 settlements, including the regional center of Kherson. Three people were killed and nine others injured, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported.
**Ukraine Suffers Heavy Losses**
Russia’s military suffered 1,180 casualties just over the past day.
**Partisan Group Disrupts Russian Supply Lines**
The Atesh partisan group sabotaged a railway line linking parts of occupied Crimea with the front line in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. This disrupted Russian supply lines, the group claimed via Telegram on March 9.
