**Ukraine Reports 4 Killed, 27 Injured in Russian Attacks**
Russian attacks on Ukraine killed four people and injured at least 27 others over the past day. This is according to regional authorities who reported the news on January 16.
**Ukrainian Forces Repel Drone Attack**
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that they shot down 34 out of 55 drones launched by Russia overnight, including Shahed-type ones. Another 18 drones were lost during the attack.
**Damage from Downed Drones**
Debris from the downed drones damaged energy infrastructure in Poltava Oblast, leaving hundreds of people without power. The local military administration reported this incident.
**Attacks on Nikopol and Other Towns**
Russian attacks on the town of Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast killed a 54-year-old woman and injured a 45-year-old man. The attack damaged around 30 houses, five high-rise buildings, industrial enterprises, and cars. In Kramatorsk and several villages in Donetsk Oblast, 15 people were injured. A Russian drone attack on Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast injured a 73-year-old man.
**Attacks on Kherson Oblast**
Russian forces targeted 36 settlements in Kherson Oblast, including the regional center of Kherson. Three people were killed and 10 were injured during these attacks.
